Lori's Believe it or not?!!

Those that know me, know that I enjoy a Diet Pepsi at least once a day if not more (usually more)!! It has been two days since I have had any pop, let alone Diet Pepsi!! Yes, I'm proud of that, considering I use to drink (several years ago) 4 to 5 cans of Mountain Dew a day!!! Yikes - I can't even drink one of those today - I get an instant headache! It has only been two days since I started my new adventure. I can't say that I have been perfect, but I certainly have crossed some milestones. I just pray that I can keep it up. It takes a lot of energy to change a lifestyle!! I saute'ed (sp?) veggies in coconut oil and sprinkled sea salt on them - Yum!! Wish I knew about that one earlier!! If I can keep coming up with yummy recipes that use the allowed foods, I think I will be good! Keep praying that I don't loose my strength and will power to do this! Your prayers are workin'!!

Lori, way to go, I know that a success that is! When we did the Daniel Diet, I wanted to die the first 3 days! You will soon not even think about wanting a pop. It's weird how we become addicted and how freeing it is when we don't have that addiction. I have some good receipes from when we did that. Let me know if you need some, and what you are allowed and not allowed to have. There are organic corn chips and salsa. That really helped me! I will keep you in my prayers. The first week can be the hardest.

Congrats!! Way to Go!! I was a Mountain Dew junkie in college (I didn't drink alcohol, but I had to have my Dew) I haven't had any now in 13 years! (wow - I didn't realize it had been that long)

Keep it up - we are all praying for you!!

Not sure if I could give up my Diet Coke. I went for a long time not drinking it and got back into the habit a couple of years ago and man, it's worse than ever. And that's after morning coffee too.

Praying for you. It's hard to stick to it, but you can do it.

Aunt Lori,
Thats great!! I know I drink WAY TOO MUCH pop, I tried to cut back once...it didn't work. So, from experience I know how hard what your doing is and you are doing a great job! I will continue to keep you in prayer!

Lori,
I'm proud of you. It's so much better for you giving up that diet Pepsi. My hubby is retired after working forty two years for Pepsi, and he's pretty convinced that it's addictive. Believe it or not, we don't drink much anymore, even though he gets two free cases of soda a month as a retiree. We often give it away or use it for functions.
I'm sure you've been told to drink lots of water--that the best thing. It really helps to shed those pounds, for some reason. Keep praying, giving this thing over to the Lord.
