TB or Not TB?
That is the question! Today I finally was able to see an Infectious Disease Specialist. The doctor is from Germany, and so in broken English he stated, "Don't worry, you will get your baby!" Which of course was music to my waiting ears. He did determine and confirm that I do have inactive TB, which simply means, that my immune system is keeping it on the down low! While it is inactive, I am taking medication to get rid of it completely before it can become active. I am perfectly fine for travel and the doctor agreed to sign the form without an addendum or attached letter (which is what the Guat. Gov. was not accepting). We can move forward with the adoption. We are just waiting for my health form and my sons health form to be returned to us and I can send everything in. We then can move onto the next step, which for us means just waiting. It is up to the Guat. and US Embassys to complete the next step. And then we get to wait some more, but we will be waiting for the referral. Which is one of the exciting steps. We will then be receiving hopefully a picture and information on who "Sonja" is. Can't wait........
